There is a long stretch of beach that you can walk along with no vendors. You can use the bars, beach, pools, restaurants, or whatever at any of the three. This hotel shares facilities with the Secrets and the Sunscape Sabor. The balcony had 2 chairs and a small table. The bed was comfortable, and the pillows were ok. The shower was large, beautiful, and plenty of hot water. The toilet area of the bathroom is separated by a smoked glass partition. Not a lot of choices for meals but relatively quick and tasty. They were excellent at refilling the drinks and snacks in the room. The room was very nice with a great view of the pool and the ocean (stayed on 5th floor). The beach area was very nice but a little short on chairs in the morning. There were generally enough chairs for everyone. The pool was nice but a bit cool in February. They really helped him feel at ease, which is so important in the beginning. We had a great time at the Dreams Cozumel. My boyfriend is a new diver, and they were so kind and patient with him, and they helped him a lot with each dive - but they weren’t overbearing. All staff had face masks on at all times, including on the boat (even the captain who was well distanced from us up top), and they had us sanitize our hands multiple times - especially when getting on the boat and after each dive.Ĥ) We found their boats to be better than some other operators - they’re spacious, have been well maintained, clean, and well suited for diving.ĥ) We requested private dive masters for two days, and they really enhanced our experience. But since the currents were wild this week, they used their best judgment and communication with other boats on whether or not the requested sites were safe before confirming any sites.ģ) VERY safe during the pandemic. Great personalities, too! They were like friends of ours!Ģ) They picked great sites, considering divers’ requests first. The dive masters were awesome - just enough help and instruction to keep us informed and comfortable, but not overbearing or condescending. The guy we booked our dives with was onsite at our resort (Ivan at Secrets Aura), and he made sure we were well taken care of with the equipment we rented from them, our dive times, and making all our arrangements, including getting us a private dive master (highly recommended for new divers like my boyfriend). I’ve been diving in Cozumel for about 20 years, and I’ve used several dive operators, but we’re sticking with Dive House for several reasons:ġ) The Staff - All staff members were courteous, kind, helpful, and took extra time and energy to make sure we had everything we needed, that we were comfortable, and that we had the best diving experiences they could provide. We just got back from our trip, which included 6 dives with Dive House. I would dive here again and appreciated how well ran the "boat" was even tho we had issues with the gear and the make up dives. We traveled during COVID and they did a nice job of maintaining masking and social distancing between divers. Our night dive did not have nitrox available, even tho it had been requested. There was a couple of days that our gear got mixed up with another boat, but they called the other boat and fixed it right away. The gear was not dry on pick up day, but the weather was humid. This made it impossible for us to make up the dives because of the air travel and we had to pay extra for the dives we completed. Instead they charged extra for the afternoon and night dives. the afternoon or night dive options that we thought we could substitute. We understood we could "make up" the dives, but when we checked out we were told that they would need to be morning dives vs. We purchased a package of dives, but two of our dives were canceled due to weather. The boat crew was very prepared and organized. The equipment was ready and on the boat every morning. Our divemaster, Victor, was excellent and the entire team worked hard to try to provide a positive experience. The diving was very good and lots of fish and coral to see.
